Rhinestone jewelry in Lebanon: how to choose a set, ring or necklace

To choose rhinestone jewelry, read three lines in the listing before you fall for the photos: the base metal (zinc alloy, brass, copper or 925 silver), the plating (gold, silver or rhodium) and the stone. Then match the piece to how often you will wear it. A full set with a necklace, earrings, bracelet and ring is made for weddings and parties. A ring, a pair of couple rings or an anklet is the easier way to wear a little sparkle every day.

What rhinestone, crystal and zircon mean in a listing

The name of the stones changes from one listing to the next, and all of them describe clear, faceted stones that catch the light. None of them is a diamond.

• Rhinestone: the most common name in our jewelry. Several listings give "crystal, rhinestone" for the same stones.
• Crystal: used the same way. The material line of Crystal Set Model 3 reads alloy, crystal and rhinestone.
• Zircon or cubic zirconia: named on pieces like the Geometric Rhinestones Set and the Rhinestones Love Couple Rings.

The stones are only half of the piece. The metal under them decides the color, the weight and how the piece ages, so look for these lines in the details:

Most rhinestone pieces are plated, so they need the same care as any plated jewelry:

• Perfume, lotion and hairspray first. Let them dry, then put your jewelry on.
• Off for the shower, the sea and the pool. Water, salt and chlorine are hard on plating.
• Wipe after wearing with a soft dry cloth, nothing abrasive.
• Store each piece apart, in its box or a small pouch, so stones and plating do not scratch each other and chains do not catch on the settings.

No. Rhinestone, crystal and zircon give the sparkle of a diamond, and our listings name the stone so you know what you are buying.

Is gold rhinestone jewelry real gold?

Not solid gold. The color comes from gold plating or a gold tone over a base metal such as zinc alloy, brass or copper. The material and plating lines in each listing say which one it is.
